Eckels Orthodontics wants you to feel right at home from the time you enter our doors. Your comfort is very important to us! Here is what you can expect at your complimentary examination with Eckels Orthodontics.
You will be greeted by a member of our friendly office staff, who will gladly assist you through the check-in process on our computerized patient check-in system. She will collect your completed Patient History Form, your insurance information, and any x-rays that your dentist may have provided for you. Please make yourself comfortable in our reception area, equipped with a flat screen TV and video game system, and a variety of reading materials. Be sure to look at a copy of Eckels Orthodontics Before & After to see the amazing photos of our very own patients!
Next, you will meet with one of our Treatment Coordinators. She will review your personal information, health history, and your chief concerns with your teeth or smile. She will assist Dr. Eckels as he provides you with a thorough examination of your face, mouth, teeth, and jaws. If he determines that you will benefit from orthodontic treatment the Treatment Coordinator will provide you with an estimate of the treatment fees and an explanation of the treatment recommendations. Any questions you might have will gladly be answered. If treatment is recommended, but you are not quite ready, an appointment to monitor growth and development will be scheduled.
If you are ready to get started you will be scheduled with one of our Diagnostic Records specialists. Diagnostic records are the tool to determine the course of your orthodontic treatment. The records include orthodontic x-rays (cepha- lometric & panoramic), digital photographs, and impressions of your teeth from which plaster replicas are made. All of these tools assist Dr. Eckels in providing each patient with a customized treatment plan. Once you receive your treatment plan, your Treatment Coordinator will answer any questions you might have concerning treatment, cost of treatment, as well as payment arrangements. You will now be ready to proceed with orthodontic treatment!
