Pre-Orthodontic Guidance Program
Dr. Eckels believes the timing of treatment is significant in achieving optimal results.
Assessment of facial growth and supervision of the eruption of permanent teeth helps to achieve results which may otherwise be unattainable if treatment were initiated after the jaws have completed growth. Eckels Orthodontics is pleased to offer this program free of charge during your child’s growth and development.
Family Care Program
Once a patient joins the Eckels Orthodontics family, we feel compelled to offer assistance to the entire family to help prevent or decrease possible orthodontic problems. We offer family members of all ages a free orthodontic evaluation. Ideally, Dr. Eckels finds it beneficial to examine young children by the age of seven. Our family care program is an added benefit for your family. You are never under any obligation to begin treatment with our office.
Scheduling Appointments
My schedule is busy. How can I fit orthodontic treatment in to my schedule?
We are aware that the majority of persons seeking orthodontic treatment have very important daily obligations; usually including work or school. We have committed ourselves to designing a scheduling system that is advantageous to you, our valued patients. We schedule specific appointment procedures that allow adequate time during each appointment to perform the next step of your orthodontic treatment. In addition, we reserve time during each visit to answer any questions and to update you on your progress. Although we cannot always see your child before or after school, we strive to work around work or school hours as much as possible. As you may know, an organized schedule must be flexible and structured. That is why we schedule our longer appointments during the morning & early afternoon hours. This allows us to accommodate a greater number of our patients with shorter appointments after school and work hours. Please call our office if any portion of your braces breaks or becomes loose. We will gladly schedule an appointment at a special time to complete your repair. We ask that you be on time for your appointments. Although our office tries to accomodate a patient who may be running a few minutes behind, late arrival is discouraged. Our schedule may not allow time to properly accomodate the proceedure that you are scheduled for.you, therefore, we may find it necessary to reschedule you. Please be reminded that patients are seen by appointment only.
Rescheduling Appointments
We realize that unforeseen circumstances can occur that may cause you to miss your scheduled appointment. We will do our best to reschedule you as soon as it is feasible. However, because there is a great demand for late afternoon appointments, we may not always be able to reschedule missed or cancelled appointments with another late afternoon appointment. Please call our office within 24 hours to cancel a scheduled appointment.
Fees
Our fees vary according to the complexity of the case, estimated length of treatment time, as well as other factors. If treatment is indicated, we will give you an estimated cost and treatment length at the first clinical exam. Full diagnostic records are necessary to establish a specific treatment plan, treatment fee, and an accurate length of treatment.
Payment Options
It is Eckels Orthodontics’ mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. For your convenience, we accept Visa and MasterCard. We offer interest free payment plans, as well as extended payment options through Care Credit. Patients wishing to pay in full at the beginning of treatment will be extended a 5% discount. Eckels Orthodontics offers automatic payment options, payable by credit card or ACH drafts from your checking or savings account. You may also visit our web-site to make easy online payments to your account 24 hours per day.
Flexible Spending Programs
These programs are designed to allow you to cover medical/dental expenses not covered by insurance. Eckels Orthodontics is glad to help you estimate your yearly orthodontic expenditures so that you can optimize your flexible spending benefit. We can arrange a convenient payment plan around your flexible spending account.
Insurance
If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. We will work with you and your insurance companies to ensure you receive your maximum benefits. We accept assignment of most insurance checks and will be happy to file insurance claims for you. Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If during the course of treatment your benefits change, you will be responsible for notifying us of any changes in policy or benefit. As well, if the insurance carrier does not cover all of the estimated portion or your treatment, you will be financially responsible for any amount not paid. It is our office policy that all accounts must be paid in full before the removal of orthodontic appliances.
